A Story About Sadam :
Mukisa Sadam’s childhood was marked by tragedy. After the death of his mother, his father remarried. Sadly, his stepmother treated him with cruelty and neglect, leaving him feeling unwanted in his own home. With no protection or love, Sadam fled, wandering into Kampala’s Kisenyi slum.
On the streets, he endured hunger, sleepless nights, and constant fear. He lost connection to his home, remembering only the name of his village. Vulnerable and alone, he risked being lost forever, exposed to exploitation and considered dangerous by authorities despite being just a child in need of care.
Through our Wednesday outreach program, Muzaana Street Children found Sadam and listened to his heartbreaking story. We are now preparing to take him back to his father, with the help of the local chairman, and provide counseling to rebuild family bonds. Our mission is to give him educational support, a mattress, basic needs, and ongoing care until he grows into a responsible man.
This is not just about one boy — it is about saving a life, restoring dignity, and giving hope where despair once lived.
